You may have questions about the changes to the BMCS Consortium health plans that start July 1st.
We have answers! Read on below to learn about ID cards, how to find an Aetna in network healthcare provider, and reminders on some of the plan changes. Don’t miss the new $0 Teledoc copay.
Aetna ID Cards
- Aetna will be sending new ID cards to ALL members regardless of whether a plan change was made. These are expected to arrive by July 1st.
- The new ID Cards will arrive in unmarked envelopes – please ensure you are checking your mail thoroughly!
- The member ID number for members who are currently enrolled in an Aetna medical plan will remain the same, even if they are making plan changes.
- If members need access to their Aetna ID Card before the physical card arrives, digital ID Cards are available, members can view, download, or print their IDs by logging into the Aetna member website, or using the Aetna Health App.
- Members can also call Aetna at 1-800-293-3536.
- Members should receive Aetna ID Cards by July 1st.

CVS ID Cards
- CVS will NOT be sending new CVS Rx ID cards to all members.
- Only newly hired members (anyone hired on or after July 1, 2026) will receive a new CVS Rx ID Card. These are expected to arrive by July 1st.
- Members who are currently enrolled (regardless of their current plan) will NOT receive new CVS ID Cards. There is no need since your prescription benefits are tied to your member Rx ID.
- If a newly hired member has not received their CVS Rx ID Card by 7/1/26, and needs to fill a prescription, they can use the information on the CVS ID Card example to the right – including the Rx BIN, Rx PCN and Rx GRP. The pharmacy can use that information along with the member’s name and DOB to verify coverage.
- Members can also contact CVS Customer Care at 1-866-818-6911.
Aetna Provider Search Tool
The Aetna provider network did not change for the Open Choice 2, Open Choice 3, or the new, Open Choice 4 plan.

Plan Changes for July 1, 2026
Here are a few reminders on the changes
- Teledoc Copay: The copay for an in network, general medicine, telehealth visit with Teledoc is $0 (ZERO). Take advantage of this enhanced benefit to save time and money.
- Plan‑-Year Deductibles: Deductibles will now run from July 1 – June 30, aligning with the Consortium’s plan year.
- 4th‑-Quarter Deductible Carryover: There is a new 4th-quarter deductible carryover feature. In-Network Services incurred from April to June will count toward the next plan year’s In-Network deductible. This starts in 2027.
- One‑-Time OC3 Transition: There will be a one-time transition feature for members currently enrolled in the OC3 plan. For July 1, 2026, OC3 members will receive deductible and out-of-pocket credit for any in-network amounts accumulated from January through June 2026.
