Click here to learn how Qualifying Life Events (QLEs) work and how certain events that result in a loss of coverage may also trigger COBRA continuation rights.
Important Reminders
- Benefit changes must be submitted within 30 days of the qualifying event (60 days for Medicaid/CHIP-related events)
- Supporting documentation is required for all QLEs
Changes are limited to those that are consistent with the qualifying event
If you experience a qualifying life event, be sure to take action promptly to ensure your coverage reflects your needs.
