As we have previously announced, effective July 1, 2025, CVS Caremark® will be the new pharmacy benefits (PBM) vendor. During this transition period we’ll be providing members with information about how the CVS Caremark pharmacy plan works.
But remember, the new CVS Caremark® pharmacy benefits do not start until July 1. Until then, continue to access your pharmacy services through Capital Rx and, for mail order, Optum.
In June, you’ll receive a welcome letter mailed directly from CVS Caremark with your new ID card. In the meantime, there is information on the new CVS Caremark page at our website.
This Benefit Basics includes the video below to help you become more familiar with your CVS Caremark Prescription Benefits. It describes convenient ways you can get your prescriptions, reviews the easy-to-use tools and features that can help you save money and time.
DON’T FORGET – The Aetna Weight Management program is here for YOU!
